Writing in the Disciplines
Faculty Development Workshops
In 2005, the Writing Outcomes program was awarded a three-year Funding For results Implementation Grant to continue offering faculty development in writing in the disciplines. These workshops follow a two-year model developed at Seton Hall University: in the first year, faculty are "participants" in the workshop; in the second year, those same faculty are "mentors" to a new crop of participants. Participation in the workshop involves attendance at meetings in the fall and spring semesters, attendance at the workshop in January, and compilation of an assessment portfolio.
