Excellence provides writing support to the
faculty, staff, and students of Southeast, as well as writers from beyond

The Writing Lab
The Writing Lab is located on the
fourth floor of Kent Library, and provides face-to-face tutorials for all
writers, along with other services. Access center hours and staff,
information on how to get the most of your tutorial, and more from the menu
to the left.
The OWL (Online Writing Lab)
The online version of the Writing
Lab, the OWL allows you to submit drafts and ask questions electronically.
You can also review dozens of tutorials on grammar, mechanics, writing with
sources, and other topics.

Writing
Proficiency Exams (Writing Assessment)
The Writing Assessment program provides
measurement of and feedback on the teaching and learning of writing at
Southeast. Online resources include descriptions of all the tests in
the assessment sequence (WP001,
WP002,
WP003), a description of the holistic scoring method
used at Southeast, and dates and
locations of WP003 exams this semester.
The Writing in the Disciplines
Program
The Writing in the Disciplines (WID)
Program provides support to faculty teaching writing in discipline-specific
